Please consider fostering or adopting Stanley!!

Stanley

Needs a foster home
or
forever home!

Stanley is an amazing boy with a rough start to his life. He was a stray wondering the streets when animal control picked him up. The shelter he went to immediately called TWR for help.

He was obviously a sweet boy... right from the start... but his body was terribly scarred from possibly ticks or fleas…or possibly where he was bit horribly by fire ants – we just didn’t know – but we knew he was sick and needed our help.

He immediately was seen by Porter’s Neck Vet and was treated for his troubles… he was feeling really rough, and was struggling. Shortly after his loving care he started to get healthy. He is feeling so good now, his scars are healing and he learning what it means to be a dog, to be loved and to be apart of a family.

His foster mom is amazed at his loving nature. He lives currently with 5 other weimaraners and gets along great with everyone! He sleeps through the night in his crate…he is learning his house manners quickly – hasn’t had a single accident inside!

Stanley LOVES to play. He loves to fetch the tennis ball and retrieves it and brings it right back to you. He isn’t possessive over his toys and or his food or treats. He loves to roll in the grass and scratch his back and eat a good bone.

The perfect home for him will have another dog companion for him. He needs someone who is gentle in how they train. He has some bad memories of training in his past but wants to learn and is eager to understand. He sits nearly every time you ask, he is learning how to walk politely on a leash. He is beautiful, and quite charming… loves to snuggle up with you and wants to be an excellent companion.

Please, if you or anyone you know may be interested in helping in either fostering or adopting, contact Dyana Scholz at dyana@dogclubwilmington.

Please spay or neuter all you pets. The Humane Society of the United States estimates that animal shelters care for 6-8 million dogs and cats every year in the United States, of whom approximately 3-4 million are euthanized. Please do your part, spay or neuter all you pets and please consider adoption verse purchasing from a not reputable breeder and never from a puppy mill.

If you are looking for a weimaraner, please visit the Tarheel Weimaraner Rescue Website or Petfinder.com. Requirements and application for adoption are posted on line at Tarheel Weimaraner Rescue.
If interested in volunteering please contact TWCRescue@aol.com
